Agnes Owens was a celebrated Scottish author who lived in the Vale of Leven and was well known in the community. She was born 100 years ago on the 24th May 1926. The Agnes Owens Archive has been established to keep her memory and work alive. Join us at Alexandria Library on Saturday 23rd May to celebrate her centenary.
There will be an exhibition of specially selected items from the Agnes Owens Archive and a sculpture created in a response to Agnes' life and work by Hayley Jane Dawson. You can buy four of her titles from Daydreams Bookshop who will be in residence for the morning. There will be tea and cakes and please share your memories of Agnes with us on our memory board.
Alexandria Library is accessible for wheelchair users, with a lift to the second floor and an accessible toilet.
