Do you have what it takes to be a positive role model for a young person from your community?
If so the Intandem mentoring programme run by local youth charity, Y Sort It, would like to hear from you.
Intandem mentoring has been running for just over a year supporting young people aged between 8-14 years old who are looked after at home.
Mentors should be good listeners who can relate to the often challenging life experiences many mentees have faced already in life. You will be trained up and matched with a young person before taking them out for a couple of hours each week in the local community. You can find out more about what is involved here.
Training starts on August 20 and runs for 6 weeks (excluding the Sept weekend). It covers child protection, boundaries, confidentiality etc – everything you need to know before going out and getting matched with a young person.
